Hi! I’m Morgan.
I believe there’s a massive world worth living out there. It just took me a while to figure that out.
Twenty years ago, I was absolutely certain I knew what my life would look like.
No kids.
A big city.
An engineering career with a well-known company.
That was the plan.
If you had told seventeen-year-old me that I’d one day be living in rural Alabama, married to my high school sweetheart, homeschooling a house full of children, cooking from scratch, tackling DIY projects I had no business attempting, and chasing one crazy idea after another, I probably would have laughed.
Or passed out from the shock.
But that’s the funny thing about being seventeen.
You have no idea how little you know about yourself.
Somewhere along the way, I realized life wasn’t something you waited to happen. It was something you built, one crazy idea, one hard decision, and one leap of faith at a time.
I realized life is meant to be lived. And if we only get one shot at it, I want to make the absolute most of mine.
To be honest, I started writing because I suck at filming and video editing.
You see, I have this innate desire to help people.
To teach them.
When I was five years old, I proudly declared to anyone who asked that I was going to Penn State and become a teacher.
Since only half of that ended up being true (WE ARE!), I’ve spent my life finding different ways to scratch that teaching itch.
I’ve been a leader, a mentor, and a coach. I’ve taught DIY classes. Eventually, I became the teacher I always dreamed of being by homeschooling my own kids. Today, I coach women in all walks of life because I genuinely love helping people learn something they didn’t think they could do.
For years, I kept asking myself the same question:
How do I share everything I’m learning with other women?
In 2026, the obvious answer is social media.
Or so I thought.
The problem wasn’t that I didn’t have stories to tell. It was that I hated the way I felt trying to tell them.
I don’t enjoy filming.
I dread staged videos.
The thought of collecting B-roll stresses me out.
Pictures? Absolutely.
A camera following me around while I pretend not to notice? Hard pass.
Then one day it hit me.
It wasn’t that I didn’t have time to create content.
I’ve proven to myself over and over that I’ll make time for the things that matter.
And I’ve also proven to myself that I can learn just about anything I decide to learn.
The truth is…
I just don’t like creating content that way.
But give me a keyboard and unlimited words?
Now we’re talking.
A 400-word Instagram caption has never been enough for me. I have stories to tell, lessons I’ve learned the hard way, and hopefully a little encouragement to pass along.
So… here we are.
Here you’ll find me, being me, as often as this crazy, beautiful life allows.
I’ll tell you what it’s really like to pack up an entire house and move 750 miles away, pregnant, with a van full of kids and without my husband.
You’ll hear about the day we decided to pull our kids out of public school and confidently say, “We’re homeschooling.”
You’ll learn why I switched to an ingredient-based pantry, why I mill my own grain, and how you can do it too if you’ve ever wanted to.
There will be DIY projects because I’m a budget queen, and I have a really hard time paying someone to do something I know I can learn to do myself.
There will be business lessons, home projects, family adventures, recipes, gardening, motherhood, and probably a healthy dose of whatever random idea I’m chasing this week.
And honestly…
There will be a little bit of everything.
Because life is a little bit of everything.
I imagine we’ll spend a lot of time talking about gratitude, perspective, and the way one decision can quietly change the course of your life.
I don’t write because I have life figured out.
I write because life is too beautiful to watch from the sidelines.
There is a massive world worth living, and I hope that every time you stop by, you leave feeling a little more inspired to go live yours.
